Well, I can't sleep...again! I don't know what is going on, but this really sucks. I slept great the last five nights, but it is now 2:53 am and I am wide awake. Ugh.
So, I figured I would post about the great bargains that I got today at the grocery store. I spent a total of $52, including tax and got a whole cart full of stuff. Even the cashier made a comment that she couldn't believe my bill was so low. I don't even usually shop at this store because it is too expensive, but they had some good sales, they double coupons and they sent a coupon for $10 off any $50 purchase in the mail.
Here is what I ended up getting for $52.00:
4 boxes stuffing mix
4 bags of marshmallows for camp fires
2 boxes of chicken noodle soup mix
6 cans of chicken broth
1 bag of brown sugar
1 bag of popcorn
1 3-Liter Pop (a special treat for the little kids, as I rarely buy pop anymore)
22 packages Ramen Noodles
2 packages Thomas' English Muffins
6 packages corn bread mix
1 Duncan Hines Cake Mix
2 Duncan Hines Frosting Tubs
4 Whole Chickens, 4.5-5 pounds each
30 pounds of potatoes
5 half gallons of ice cream
1 dozen eggs
Normally, even shopping at Super Walmart, it would have been $52 before tax for just the potatoes, ice cream and 4 chickens! I really get a rush when I save money, even if it is a lot of work to follow all the sale papers and keep track of the darn coupons. I guess this must be the feeling that criminals talk about when they say they get a rush from stealing, but I'm not doing anything illegal!
