Wow, I just looked at the pictures from July 6th of the cherry tomatoes and lettuce that Shauna and I planted in pots on the front porch. They have really taken off in the last week, especially the lettuce, which will be ready to eat soon. I wish I had gotten more lettuce in before it got too hot. None of the lettuce seeds we planted in the back garden germinated.
I wonder if I can plant lettuce at the end of summer, for harvesting before the first frost? Hmmm, I'll have to look into that.
Alex took a picture of the house and you can see how nice the new grass is looking. Still a lot of bare spots, but it is filling in nicely, thanks to all the rain this summer
